Alex Alvarez tells jurors that defense experts were unable to offer an opinion within a reasonable degree of medical certainty as to what killed smoker Paul Pollari, while plaintiff’s expert, Pollari’s treating physician, testified that Pollari died of lung cancer. Alvarez represents Pollari’s widow, Rose, who is suing tobacco manufacturers R.J. Reynolds and Philip Morris.
