Fill Out the Form to Watch Openings from Ernesto Raymundo-Lazaro v. AutoZone
Last August, a Nevada jury cleared AutoZone at trial over the injuries a customer contends he suffered when he was attacked by a store employee. That verdict was named one of CVN’s Top 10 Most Impressive Defense Verdicts of 2025. And now you can watch the openings in that trial, FREE, courtesy of ChartSquad.
In seeking $10 million in compensatory damages and unspecified punitives, the customer claims he suffered a traumatic brain injury, among other injuries, after being punched by the Autozone employee following an argument between the two. Autozone claims the incident occurred outside of that worker’s scope of employment. And the worker, who was discharged for the incident and pleaded guilty to misdemeanor battery, contends he was worried for his safety and panicked during the altercation.
Openings in the trial were given by Ian Samson, of Panish | Shea | Ravipudi, for the plaintiffs; William Coggshall, of Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, for Autozone; and Todd Prall, of Hutchison & Steffen, for the employee.
