In Lung Cancer Tobacco Trial, Bleeding Ulcer May Have Killed Smoker, Says Defense

Ursula Henninger tells jurors that medical evidence shows that complications from a bleeding ulcer, rather than lung cancer, may have killed Paul Pollari in 1994. Pollari’s widow, Rose Pollari, is suing Philip Morris  and Henninger’s client, R.J. Reynolds, claiming the tobacco manufacturers hid the dangers of cigarettes, which led to Paul Pollari’s nicotine addiction and smoking-related cancer death.
