Laura Shamp tells jurors that Philip Morris did not care “one iota” for her client, Elaine Jordan, who a long-time smoker who successfully sued the company, claiming its concealment of smoking’s dangers led to her lung disease and lung transplants. Shamp argued for a $22 million punitive award in phase II of the proceedings. Jurors awarded $3.205 million in punitives.
